Position Overview

Status Staffing is currently recruiting for a Retail Supervisor for a prominent client in the leather retail sector based in Cape Town. This position calls for a seasoned Retail Supervisor with a minimum of three years of experience in supervisory roles within the leather industry and at least three years of experience in retail or shop floor operations within a leather merchant context. A Matric (Grade 12) qualification is mandatory, while further tertiary education is viewed favorably. The chosen candidate should have a robust grasp of sales and marketing systems in the retail field and should possess the skills to lead, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve outstanding performance and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in the leather industry. - Minimum of three years of retail or shop floor experience in a leather merchant environment. - Matric (Grade 12) qualification is essential. - Tertiary education is advantageous. - In-depth understanding of sales and marketing systems in retail. - Demonstrated success in achieving results. - Self-motivated, proactive, with independent work capabilities and strong team player attributes. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team effectively. - High emotional intelligence. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. - Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.

Duties
