Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 NQF level 5 in Security/Management Assistance PSIRA registered (Grade C) 1 year’s in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities

Provide protection for all exterior government properties regarding unauthorised use Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior of government properties to establish and maintain security controls Monitor and responds to technical security alarms installed in government buildings Maintains good working relations with local law enforcement agencies Conduct casual surveillance on all members of the public entering station buildings relative to irrational behaviour Issues parking enforcement control tickets as required Administers first aid to members of the public or government employees who may receive injuries when on premises Attend to public queries and complaints Attend to public telephonic enquiries and refer to the relevant stakeholders
