Role Description The ideal candidate will be tasked with providing advisory services to attend to non-technical service activities with precision and punctuality, adhering to established standard operating procedures. Primary responsibilities include:
- Interacting with customers and overseeing service work and scheduling - Serving as the intermediary between service customers and the dealership - Advocating for the sales of labor and parts - Managing the service appointment list - Securing customer approval and signature after ensuring they comprehend the dealership's payment policy - Contacting customers for authorization when repair orders need extension beyond the agreed estimate, presenting the revised total cost and delivery timeframe - Documenting the outcome of the contract on the repair order and any supplementary instructions approved by the customer (or their refusal to authorize additional safety-related repairs) - Monitoring the progress of repairs and ensuring timely completion in line with repair instructions - Maintaining customer files (Follow up system), proactively contacting customers who have not responded to a mailing, and ensuring customer satisfaction by calling customers who have undergone major repairs - Promptly resolving customer complaints - Clearly explaining the work performed and parts replaced when presenting the invoice - Notifying the Service Manager about trends in customer appointments and shop performance - Informing the sales department of the customer's intention to trade or sell - Conducting test drives post-repair completion if required - Attending training sessions provided by the distributor for Service Advisors - Maintaining a neat and professional appearance when greeting customers - Developing communication skills to strengthen customer relationships - Adhering to warranty policies - Keeping abreast of ongoing work
Qualifications and Experience - Matric Certificate - 3-5 years of experience in the motor industry, preferably in a service advisor role with technical knowledge - Prior experience with the Kia brand is advantageous - Strong skills in Occupational Health and Safety and trustworthiness/integrity
