Salary Details Basic Salary: R30,000 - R35,000 + benefits

Job Type: Permanent

Experience Level: Experienced

Required Education: National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field

Required Experience: 3-5 years relevant SHE experience, preferably within manufacturing, food processing, or production environments

Key Responsibilities SHE Management & Compliance: - Implement and improve SHE Management System - Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation - Develop and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and safe work practices - Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) - Monitor corrective and preventative actions - Drive accident prevention and environmental impact reduction initiatives - Prepare for internal, customer, certification, and ethical audits - Manage waste-related activities and security management

Training & Safety Culture: - Coordinate SHE inductions, training, and awareness programs - Promote employee participation and safety culture - Provide SHE guidance to operational teams and contractors - Support functional guidance and supervision of SHE-related activities

Incident Investigation: - Investigate workplace incidents and accidents - Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions - Monitor effectiveness of actions taken from investigations - Maintain incident records and compile relevant reports

Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety: - Implement emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills - Monitor fire system compliance and maintenance - Manage contractor SHE compliance and PPE programme

SHE Administration & Reporting: - Arrange SHE meetings and maintain records - Prepare monthly and ad hoc SHE reports for management - Monitor and report on quality and volumes of packaging materials - Assist with internal quality and food safety audits

Quality & Food Safety Responsibilities: - Inspect incoming raw materials and products - Conduct chemical analysis and shelf-life testing - Verify product quality during production processes - Prepare COAs and investigate quality-related issues - Handle customer queries and complaints

Hours Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
