POSITION: STORES SUPERVISOR – ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION LOCATION: Northern Suburbs, Cape Town

An electrical engineering contractor situated in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs seeks a seasoned Stores Supervisor to oversee store operations. Utilize your expertise in stock management, team leadership, and ensuring project teams are supplied with the necessary materials, tools, and equipment in this vital role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the processes of receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching inventory. • Maintain precise inventory records, conduct stock counts, and prepare reports. • Oversee the control of electrical materials, tools, equipment, and consumables. • Align material requirements with project managers, site supervisors, and suppliers. • Monitor stock levels and resolve issues related to shortages, damages, and discrepancies. • Supervise stores personnel and uphold safety and housekeeping standards. • Ensure stock security, traceability, and accountability. • Support stock audits, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification. • Prior experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory management, preferably within electrical, construction, engineering, or infrastructure settings. • Comprehensive knowledge of stock control, receiving, issuing, and inventory management. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and stock management systems. • Ability to interpret material requisitions, delivery notes, and supplier documentation. • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites. • Forklift license and familiarity with electrical materials are advantageous.
