An opportunity is now open for a proficient CNC Programmer to join our client’s manufacturing team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting, refining and optimizing CNC programs, supporting machining tasks and ensuring components are produced with precision as per technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities: · Develop, adjust, and refine CNC programs for manufacturing · Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications · Set up and program CNC machines for machining operations · Choose appropriate cutting tools, tooling methods, and machining parameters · Provide technical guidance to machine operators regarding programs · Conduct test runs and make required program adjustments · Guarantee components meet required quality and dimensional standards · Identify opportunities to enhance cycle times and minimize material waste · Assist in troubleshooting machining and programming issues · Maintain accurate program files and technical documentation · Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams · Ensure all work complies with safety and operational procedures
Minimum Requirements: · Matric certificate · CNC Programming Certificate · Tool Maker Trade Test is advantageous · Prior experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing setting · Familiarity with CNC machining and production processes · Proficiency in relevant CNC programming software and controls · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings · Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems is beneficial · Understanding of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds · Capability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
