Our esteemed client, a prominent manufacturing firm located in Epping, Cape Town, is in search of a proficient and dynamic Warehouse Operations Supervisor to bolster their team. This position requires a candidate with robust managerial or supervisory expertise, superior organizational skills, and an in-depth grasp of warehouse, production, operations, or logistics settings.

Applicants should hold a minimum of a Grade 12/Matric certification, possess fluency in both Afrikaans and English, be proficient with computers, and own a reliable means of transportation. Experience with an ERP system, along with a relevant qualification in Operations, Production, or Logistics, is highly desirable.

**REQUIREMENTS:**

• Minimum qualification of Matric/Grade 12. - Relevant qualification in Operations, Production, Logistics, or a similar field is advantageous. - Fluent in Afrikaans and English. - Reliable personal transportation. - Previous supervisory or management experience. - Proficient in computer skills, especially standard office applications. - Prior experience with an ERP system is beneficial.

**DUTIES:**

• Oversee that all orders placed before 14:30 are picked and handed to Dispatch for verification by the end of each shift. - Manage picking operations efficiently, ensuring productivity and enabling orders placed after 14:30 to be picked the next day if feasible. - Maintain an updated back-order report by printing and reviewing it at shift end. - Track, report, and resolve picking and system errors or delays, ensuring discrepancies between physical stock and system records are promptly addressed. - Report any incidents, errors, or transgressions to the General Manager immediately. - Ensure staff adhere to all time and attendance requirements, preventing early departure if picking activities are incomplete. - Maintain accurate daily records and reconcile picking slips to avoid unnecessary reprints. - Liaise with Dispatch for any anticipated delays or operational concerns. - Restrict access to the Whole Goods and Finished Goods warehouses to authorized personnel only. - Secure all warehouse entrances when not in use, ensuring stock safety at all times. - Manage forklift operation, ensuring proper usage and scheduled maintenance. - Oversee daily pallet management, repacking pooled pallets, and allocating or returning pallets as needed. - Ensure all incoming stock is promptly stored and no stock remains on the floor for more than 48 hours post-receipt. - Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse, with clean floors and racking, no products in aisles with available racking space. - Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) stock management. - Follow current systems and procedures for stock recovery, samples, stacking, and related processes. - Supervise temporary, casual, and container staff for maximum productivity and minimal inefficiencies. - Manage waste efficiently and ensure resource control. - Maintain yard conditions and uphold perimeter security. - Ensure compliance with food safety management systems, quality standards, policies, and procedures. - Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations. - Ensure warehouse staff comply with housekeeping and workplace standards. - Complete all required food safety and operational documentation daily. - Attend necessary food safety, committee, operational, and other relevant meetings. - Report any food safety violations immediately to the relevant manager. - Perform additional duties as required by operational needs. - Notify purchasing and production of low stock levels or unreceived expected stock. - Train, develop, and manage warehouse staff on company policies, procedures, and operations. - Drive continuous improvement in the warehouse. - Maintain accurate attendance registers and complete leave and overtime documentation. - Achieve maximum productivity and operational efficiency through effective staff management. - Maintain the warehouse in a stock-take-ready condition. - Plan, coordinate, and manage stock takes and cycle counts, including accurate reconciliations and reporting. - Review and authorize stock adjustments and credit notes. - Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters. - Maintain complete and auditable records for all warehousing processes. - Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) and all applicable regulations. - Perform ad hoc duties in other departments as needed. - Prepare and maintain daily and monthly operational reports. - Provide accurate and timely information to the General Manager and senior management. - Assist in the training and development of warehouse personnel. - Communicate with internal and external customers on picking, receiving, and order-related activities. - Manage costs and ensure sufficient resources for operational needs. - Assist in investigations for delivery failures, picking errors, and other operational discrepancies. - Liaise with relevant departments and customers on order status and delivery times. - Maintain a strong customer-service focus, addressing customer requirements professionally and efficiently. - Perform any other reasonable duties as required to support business operations.
