**Position Overview**

Tumaini Consulting is on the lookout for a proficient Workshop Supervisor to oversee the operations of an automotive workshop in the Eastern Cape. This leadership role requires someone with robust technical expertise in vehicle maintenance and the capacity to ensure high-quality work from workshop staff.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Directing all repair, servicing, and maintenance operations within the workshop. - Allocating daily tasks to workshop personnel and monitoring job progress to meet deadlines. - Providing technical guidance and diagnostic support to technicians. - Conducting pre-and post-repair vehicle inspections to confirm quality. - Ensuring that all repairs adhere to manufacturer and workshop standards. - Evaluating productivity, identifying rework, and enhancing workshop efficiency. - Ensuring the proper use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery. - Identifying additional repair needs and communicating them effectively. - Collaborating with service advisors to provide progress updates. - Assisting in resolving technical and customer inquiries. - Maintaining workshop discipline, safety, and cleanliness standards. - Supporting the development and performance of workshop staff.

**Qualifications**

• Matric certificate. - Millwright Trade Test or Electrical Engineering Diploma (preferred). - Previous experience in workshop supervisory roles. - Automotive workshop experience, ideally in a dealership or structured repair environment. - Proficiency in mechanical and vehicle diagnostic systems. - Demonstrated experience in supervising technicians or workshop personnel. - Familiarity with job cards, workshop procedures, and quality checks. - Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage workshop pressure. - Attention to detail with a customer-oriented mindset.
