Purpose: The purpose of this job is to deliver exceptional customer service in such a manner that external and internal customers are satisfied including delivery and transfer drivers.  This is accomplished by offering friendly customer service, ensuring clean and tidy environment and accurate loading of all customers’ products purchased ensuring that the Yard runs efficiently so that no losses of neither stock nor dissatisfied customers occur in order to have customers return to the store increasing sales and profit margins. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Loading customers vehicles, delivery trucks and transfer trucks promptly and accuratelyEnsuring that stock is properly stacked and countedAssist with pulling of stock for transfersReporting stock shortagesReporting stock breakagesUp keeping of tidiness and cleaning of area by sweeping and upholding good housekeepingAssisting customers with excellent customer service and product knowledgeBagging of stone/ sandParticipating in perpetual stocktakesEnsuring housekeeping of work areaPerforming any work related tasks as delegated by your superior REQUIREMENTS:Matric or Equivalent1 Year minimum experience in a similar role (preferred) Ability to deliver excellent customer serviceAbility to numerically count stockAble to work independently and as a team playerBe disciplined and motivatedAbility to handle pressureAbility to communicate effectively (verbal)Physical fitness and stamina Kindly note that if you are not contacted within 2 weeks after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful. We are committed to having staff that reflect the diversity of our nation we will conduct our recruitment and appointments in line with the Company’s equity targets and we are committed to improving our positions.
