Our client, a burgeoning engineering consultancy, invites applications for a Junior Mechanical Draughtsman to join their dynamic multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a technically adept individual eager to acquire practical experience across various building services projects, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical disciplines. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in mechanical draughting and Revit, with electrical draughting experience being a significant advantage. This position provides an excellent opportunity to evolve into a comprehensive MEP professional under the mentorship of seasoned engineers and designers.
Requirements: • Relevant Diploma, Certificate or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or a related field • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical/building services draughting • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential • Strong mechanical draughting and technical drawing skills • Exposure to HVAC, wet services, or other mechanical building services is advantageous • Electrical draughting/building services experience is highly advantageous
Responsibilities: • Develop and update mechanical building services drawings using Revit • Assist engineers with the development and coordination of mechanical designs • Prepare detailed layouts, plans, sections, and technical drawings • Support HVAC, wet services, and other mechanical building services documentation • Coordinate mechanical services with electrical and other disciplines • Update drawings based on design changes and site information • Assist with multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection • Attend site visits when necessary, incorporating site information into drawings • Maintain drawing standards, quality, and document control • Collaborate closely with engineers, senior draughtsmen, and project teams to meet project deadlines
