Our client, an expanding engineering consultancy, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Draughtsman proficient in Revit MEP to join their diverse team. This role presents a prime chance for someone with a technical inclination to gain practical experience in building services projects, incorporating both mechanical and electrical domains. The successful candidate should have a solid background in mechanical draughting and Revit, with electrical draughting experience being beneficial. The position allows for growth into a comprehensive MEP professional, supported by seasoned engineers and designers.
Requirements: · Relevant Diploma, Certificate, or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or a related field · Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or related field · Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical or building services draughting · Essential experience with Revit and AutoCAD · Strong skills in mechanical draughting and technical drawing · Advantageous exposure to HVAC, wet services, or other mechanical building services · Highly advantageous experience in electrical draughting/building services
Responsibilities: · Create and update mechanical building services drawings using Revit · Support engineers in the development and coordination of mechanical designs · Prepare detailed layouts, plans, sections, and technical drawings · Assist with documentation for HVAC, wet services, and other mechanical building services · Coordinate mechanical services with electrical and other disciplines · Update drawings based on design changes and site information · Help with multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection · Attend site visits where necessary and incorporate site information into drawings · Maintain drawing standards, quality, and document control · Collaborate closely with engineers, senior draughtsmen, and project teams to meet deadlines
