POSITION TITLE: Marketing Specialist - Johannesburg

This role is pivotal in advancing new business expansion, maintaining client relationships, cultivating connections with both new and established brokers, enhancing market visibility, and broadening the broker network, all from the Wanderers Office Park location.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Spearheading new business development • Analyzing insurance risks • Interpreting policy terms • Educating brokers on insurance offerings • Organizing and presenting at functions (Candidate should possess strong communication and presentation skills) • Planning and conducting client meetings during road trips • Crafting PowerPoint presentations • Addressing queries and coordination between departments • Entering accurate quotations • Preparing materials for training sessions • Aggregating broker premiums • Collecting broker information • Consolidating broker targets • Organizing broker regions • Monthly renewal preparation • Conducting research for marketing presentations • Coordinating marketing team activities • Handling ad hoc functions • Managing filing tasks • Assisting the department in various other duties
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Familiarity with the insurance industry market and its terminology • Ability to analyze diverse information sources and resolve issues • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; adept in managing complex phone and face-to-face discussions with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders • Punctuality and efficiency; capable of managing pressure to meet tight deadlines and effectively organize workload to meet service standards • Operational proficiency; adherence to all process requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• BCom, Engineering Degree, or related diploma in construction/engineering • Minimum 3 years in underwriting/sales of short-term Engineering insurance • Demonstrated history of driving new business growth • Passed RE5 (Regulatory Examination 5) • FAIS compliant as a representative, independently operating • Thorough knowledge of insurance legislation • At least 5 years of short-term underwriting/sales insurance experience • Experience with insurance operating systems • Valid driver’s license
