Santam Specialist Solutions invites applications for a Marketing Assistant role within the Construction and Engineering (SCE) division, located in Wanderers Office Park. Reporting directly to the National Marketing Manager, this position offers a comprehensive career opportunity.
Role and Responsibilities
The Marketing Assistant will be integral to providing complete support and services to insurance brokers. Key duties encompass Sales, Business Development, and Technical Underwriting during the new business phase.
Requirements for Success
This position entails, but is not limited to, servicing broker requests, including handling enquiries. Additional responsibilities include technical underwriting at the new business stage and offering telephonic/email support to intermediaries and authorized brokerage representatives. The role also involves managing general insurance and policy-specific inquiries, quoting for instructions, policy maintenance, renewals, and engineering aspects, and resolving insurance queries within stipulated timeframes and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric/ Grade 12 - Post Graduate B. Comm, Engineering or Insurance Qualification - RE 5 - Demonstrated sales experience in the commercial insurance sector - Engineering underwriting experience is advantageous - Proven broker relationship management, business development, portfolio management, and technical underwriting at the new business stage
