**Job Responsibilities**

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for

• Providing strategic input into category operating plans, aligning with business objectives and ensuring seamless execution. * Continuously reviewing and refining top-down and bottom-up financial plans to synchronize with the merchandise calendar, guaranteeing accurate financial forecasting. * Achieving and exceeding portfolio financial targets by implementing category operating plans, fostering strong vendor relationships, and encouraging Category Managers to cultivate and maintain these connections. * Offering direction on global category trends, private label, and exclusive brand opportunities, thereby fostering brand loyalty, market share growth, and profitability. * Driving innovation and differentiation through product selection, development, in-store presentation, and exclusivity, solidifying our position as a best-in-class portfolio. * Coordinating promotional sales and margin targets while ensuring daily sales and margin targets are met. * Responding to market analysis and current category performance to achieve category operating plans. * Coaching category teams to enhance commercial thinking skills, driving them to achieve and exceed financial targets. * Developing and coaching Category Managers to create career paths, ensure succession, and build a sustainable team.

**Minimum Requirements**

• 4-6 years of experience in a Merchandise Manager, Buyer/Planner/Marketer role * Retail and/or Purchasing Management education, or Business Science, B. Comm, MBA, CIS (desirable)
