Our client is seeking a is looking for a highly senior Ecommerce Engineer with strong leadership capability, solid business acumen, and a strategic mindset. This is not purely a technical role — the successful candidate will play a key role in leading and growing the Ecommerce Division within the IT department. Responsibilities: • Lead ecommerce platform development and technical strategy across the organization • Drive improvements in scalability, performance, security, and reliability of ecommerce systems • Manage WooCommerce-based platforms and associated digital infrastructure • Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using Node.js or PHP • Oversee API integrations with ERP, CRM, inventory, and payment systems • Implement SEO and performance optimization strategies to improve traffic and conversion • Manage deployment pipelines, environments, and release processes • Ensure data integrity across product catalogues and digital systems • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align ecommerce strategy with revenue goals Requirements: • BSc Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (non-negotiable) • Senior-level experience in ecommerce engineering or digital commerce environments • Strong expertise in WooCommerce and ecommerce platform architecture • Backend development experience • Strong understanding of API design, system integrations, and databases • Experience with technical SEO and optimization strategies
