Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team based in Stellenbosch. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned software professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building reliable enterprise applications, and working with modern development technologies in a collaborative environment.   Responsibilities: ·        Design, develop, maintain and enhance enterprise Java applications. ·        Write clean, efficient and maintainable software code. ·        Develop and optimise SQL queries and database solutions. ·        Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. ·        Participate in technical reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives. ·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. ·        Contribute to architectural and technical decisions where required.   Requirements: ·        10+ years' overall experience within Information Technology. ·        10+ years' software development experience. ·        10+ years' experience working with SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL. ·        Minimum 5 years' professional Java development experience. ·        Experience with Java SE 8, 21 and 25. ·        Experience with Java EE 8, EJB, JMS, JDBC and JNDI. ·        Working knowledge of JBoss Undertow, Glassfish 4.1.1 & 5, Git, PostgreSQL 17, Apache Kafka, Docker and Ubuntu. ·        Tertiary qualification in Information Technology is advantageous but not essential.   Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to [Email hidden - Login to reveal].
