About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Service Manager for our Ford dealership in Kroonstad, focusing on delivering exceptional service and operational efficiency within our service department. This role will oversee the service team, manage customer relationships, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and motivate the service team to achieve performance targets and ensure high-quality service delivery. Develop and implement service strategies to meet customer needs while optimizing operational efficiency. Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and service appointments, ensuring a positive experience throughout the process. Monitor and evaluate service department performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary. Collaborate with technicians to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring timely completion of service work. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations. Train and develop team members, providing ongoing support and performance feedback. Maintain effective communication with other departments to streamline operations and enhance service offerings.
RequirementsProven track record in a service management role within the automotive industry or a related field. Strong understanding of service department operations and customer service best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Proficient in using service management software and tools for reporting and tracking purposes. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer engagement and relationship building.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in automotive technology, business management, or a related discipline. Experience with Ford motor vehicles and their specific service requirements. Knowledge of current automotive trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting service and repair.
