An exceptional opportunity exists for a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our client's proficient engineering team in Gauteng. This position presents the chance to engage in various municipal and infrastructure projects, encompassing responsibilities in detailed engineering, design, project coordination, and technical execution within a diverse consulting framework.
Key Responsibilities: - Execute comprehensive civil engineering designs and engineering tasks for municipal and infrastructure projects. - Formulate and develop infrastructure solutions that align with project specifications and pertinent standards. - Prepare, refine, and scrutinize engineering designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documents. - Collaborate on municipal infrastructure initiatives, including roads, stormwater, water, sanitation, and related civil structures. - Maintain communication with clients, municipalities, contractors, engineers, and other project participants. - Align civil engineering outputs within multidisciplinary project teams. - Perform site inspections, investigations, and technical assessments as necessary. - Offer technical input and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept and detailed design to construction. - Support project planning, coordination, contract management, and construction monitoring. - Oversee assigned projects and ensure the completion of engineering deliverables. - Guarantee that all designs and engineering work meet relevant municipal standards, SANS requirements, specifications, and industry best practices. - Compile clear and precise technical reports and project documentation. - Assist with proposal development, tendering, and business growth activities where applicable. - Offer technical advice and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements: - Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) / Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng) in Civil Engineering. - Minimum of 7+ years of relevant civil engineering experience. - Demonstrated experience in municipal infrastructure and general civil engineering projects. - Background in a consulting engineering environment. - Expertise in the design and execution of infrastructure projects. - Beneficial experience with roads, stormwater, water, sanitation, and municipal infrastructure. - Proficient knowledge of relevant SANS standards, municipal specifications, and civil engineering principles. - Skills in detailed engineering design, technical reporting, and project documentation. - Experience in liaising with municipalities, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. - Strong project coordination and technical problem-solving skills. - ECSA registration is preferred.
