Presenting an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our client's esteemed engineering team in Gauteng. This role encompasses a variety of municipal and infrastructure projects, requiring comprehensive engineering, design, project management, and technical execution in a multidisciplinary consulting framework.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform intricate civil engineering design and project execution on municipal and infrastructure initiatives. - Design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with project specifications and regulatory standards. - Create, refine, and scrutinize engineering designs, blueprints, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation. - Engage in municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, stormwater, water supply, sanitation, and related civil structures. - Maintain effective communication with clients, municipalities, contractors, engineers, and other project participants. - Manage civil engineering deliverables within diverse project teams. - Carry out site inspections, assessments, and technical evaluations as necessary. - Offer technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle from initial concept through construction. - Assist in project planning, coordination, contract management, and construction oversight. - Take full ownership of assigned projects and ensure successful engineering delivery. - Ensure all engineering and design work adheres to municipal standards, SANS requirements, specifications, and industry best practices. - Draft clear and precise technical reports and project documentation. - Support proposals, tenders, and business development activities when needed. - Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements: - Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng) in Civil Engineering. - A minimum of 7+ years of relevant civil engineering experience. - Demonstrable experience in municipal infrastructure and general civil engineering projects. - Experience within a consulting engineering firm is required. - Proven track record in the design and execution of infrastructure projects. - Familiarity with roads, stormwater, water, sanitation, and municipal infrastructure is advantageous. - Thorough understanding of relevant SANS standards, municipal specifications, and civil engineering design principles. - Expertise in detailed engineering design, technical reporting, and project documentation. - Experience in liaising with municipalities, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. - Strong project coordination and technical problem-solving skills. - ECSA registration is advantageous.
