Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on forklifts. - Examine engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and wiring. - Utilize diagnostic equipment to pinpoint mechanical and electrical faults. - Assess hydraulic and pneumatic systems, detecting leaks or malfunctioning components. - Repair, reconstruct, and replace parts such as transmissions, motors, and steering systems. - Perform welding and soldering, as well as fabricate metal components when necessary. - Verify the functionality of repaired equipment for safe and effective operation. - Order replacement parts and help with stock management. - Maintain precise records of service, repairs, and maintenance activities. - Adhere to all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. - Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Diesel Mechanic. - Strong skills in mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis. - Proficiency in handling hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous. - Ability to work autonomously and resolve technical issues. - Valid driver's license is preferred. - Relevant technical qualifications or trade certifications are beneficial.
