This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Electrical Engineer to leverage their technical proficiency in building services and electrical reticulation projects within a leading engineering consultancy.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and managing electrical building services and reticulation infrastructure projects, from inception to execution, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:
Designing electrical reticulation networks for both residential and industrial developments Managing high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) power distribution systems, including infrastructure planning and assessments Designing building electrical services, including standby power, UPS systems, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection Integrating electronic systems such as fire detection, CCTV, access control, data/telecommunications, and building management systems Overseeing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
Criteria
Qualifications and experience required include
A BTech or BSc/BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering 5ā7 years of consulting engineering experience in building services and electrical reticulation ECSA registration as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng, or progress towards professional registration Proficient in engineering design and analysis software Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills High attention to detail, professional integrity, and a commitment to quality Advanced English proficiency and business-level Afrikaans proficiency
