**Job Description:**

**Position Overview:** This permanent role within the Manufacturing Management sector is pivotal for enhancing member experiences through superior facility maintenance at our clubs. As a Facility Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning and upkeep of our fitness centers.

**Your Role:** You will contribute to the broader mission of transforming our organization into a global leader in social wellness by delivering top-notch member experiences through meticulous maintenance operations.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities:** - Carry out preventative maintenance on a range of equipment including out-of-warranty fitness gear, swimming pool/spa systems, HVAC units, and hot/cold water systems. - Manage reactive maintenance tasks recorded in the maintenance and health & safety job book. - Address emergency repairs promptly. - Ensure continuous upskilling of the Maintenance Operator or Technician to fulfill their roles effectively. - Collaborate with the Club General Manager and Regional Facility Manager on contractor requests. - Escalate unresolved issues to the Club General Manager and Regional Facility Manager. - Maintain adherence to VASA's maintenance policies and procedures. - Oversee health and safety compliance within the club, including communication and documentation. - Monitor and improve work standards, security, and safety across the facility. - Conduct health and safety audits as per business directives. - Manage utility consumption, investigate, and address high water and electricity usage. - Address all Brand Standards concerns related to the state of repair. - Assist the Club General Manager in managing various budgets to prevent overspending. - Foster a collaborative and healthy team environment in an HOD capacity. - Engage in technical collaboration with peers in the region.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

**Essential Requirements:** - Matric (NSC) qualification - Advanced relevant technical qualification - Proven maintenance experience (2-3 years) - Hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and plant equipment - Strong understanding of health & safety (H&S) - Proven track record in independent work - Proficiency in Microsoft office suites - Good grasp of utilities consumption - Experience in managing maintenance costs - Strong people management skills - Experience in managing health and safety processes
