Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited seeks a qualified Health Consultant specializing in Vitamins and Supplements for their Cape Gate location. Your primary duties will include promoting and selling Dis-Chem Health Focus products through exceptional customer service, ensuring the highest levels of customer care and service, and maintaining an organized health focus area. You will also be responsible for keeping merchandise displays well-stocked, reporting price discrepancies, and adhering to store layouts within the Health Department.

Minimum Requirements: Essential: Grade 12/Matric, minimum six months' sales experience in a vitamins/health environment, strong command of the English language, computer literacy (MS Office), and sound numerical skills. Willingness to work retail hours is required. Advantageous qualifications include a BSc Biomedicine and/or BSc Biotechnology or a relevant health focus field qualification, sales experience in a retail environment, and fluency in a second language spoken prominently in the area.

Job description: 1. Assist and advise customers, ensuring the highest levels of customer care and service are met. 2. Assist with back shopping as requested, maintaining efficient department and store operations. 3. Keep health focus area merchandise displays stocked and faced up. 4. Report all price discrepancies to management as they occur. 5. Adhere to store layouts within the Health Department. 6. Ensure broadsheet items are well displayed, merchandised, promoted, and readily available. 7. Implement promotional displays and merchandising materials. 8. Achieve monthly team, brand, and vendor targets. 9. Stay updated with new products and product lines. 10. Follow Health Department administrative processes and procedures, including weekly returns, stock control, and monitoring of stock levels.

Competencies: Essential: Promotions and personal selling, customer service, strong command of the English language, basic report analysis, team player, and time management. Advantageous: Product knowledge and stock control, bilingual abilities.

Special conditions of employment: - Willing and able to work retail hours - Able and physically fit for walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving objects - Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport - South African citizen - Clear credit and criminal records
