Our client is looking for a seasoned Training & Skills Development Specialist to oversee organization-wide training initiatives, pinpoint skills deficiencies and facilitate employee growth. This position encompasses skills development reporting, Employment Equity, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) administration, and HR systems management. Key Responsibilities
Identify training requirements via skills audits, gap analyses, and consultations with department heads. Design and manage training programs, including technical training, induction, leadership development, and mandatory training. Source qualified training providers, create in-house training materials when necessary, and assess training effectiveness. Oversee learnerships, internships, and work-integrated learning programs until completion. Assist with training budget planning and ensure the efficient allocation of training funds. Serve as the company's designated Skills Development Facilitator (SDF). Submit annual Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR), and manage applications for mandatory and discretionary grants. Draft and monitor Employment Equity plans, prepare annual EEA2 and EEA4 reports, and attend quarterly EE committee meetings. Coordinate information for annual BBBEE certification, keep supporting records, and oversee social responsibility contributions. Maintain the Workday Learning Management System and training records in SAGE300. Support talent management, succession planning, career development, and performance management. Keep SACNASP registration records and provide accurate monthly HR and training reports. Assist with global organizational learning initiatives. Help update company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. Minimum Requirements
Matriculation. HR Degree or Diploma. At least 5 years of HR experience. Valid Code 08/EB driverās license. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of HR Premier or VIP systems is essential. Expertise in Employment Equity and Skills Development Facilitation is essential. Understanding of current labor legislation. Ability to perform budget reconciliations. Salary processing experience and knowledge of BEE are advantageous. Skills and Attributes
