We are currently seeking an Internal Sales Assistant: Projects for a Bulk Handling equipment company based in Pinetown. The successful candidate will collaborate with Sales Engineers to deliver consultative sales solutions, conduct site surveys, and estimate requirements to meet specific customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to devise and present consultative sales solutions tailored to customer requirements. - Maintain continuous communication with existing and potential new customers. - Assist in the preparation and negotiation of tender and contract terms. - Support technical presentations and demonstrations of our products and projects. - Help prepare costing models, project PFDs, and P&IDs, and input quotes into Omni. - Update project files on the shared drive and create detailed, accurate project quotes. - Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support. - Coordinate project handovers and prepare handover files. - Generate periodic reports and manage customer records. - Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows and conferences. - Achieve monthly and annual sales targets. - Carry out any additional sales or administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- A recognized Engineering qualification. - Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. - Prior experience with bulk handling equipment or systems is advantageous. - Strong technical background and the ability to sell technical solutions. - Excellent organizational and planning skills. - Capacity to build long-term customer relationships. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with resilience. - Independence and self-reliance, coupled with good interpersonal skills. - Assertiveness and decision-making ability. - Dedication, focus, and multitasking proficiency. - Proficient in verbal and written communication, with confidence across all levels. - Ability to interpret GA drawings and P&IDs. - Knowledge in handling project tenders. - Sound understanding of manufacturing business operations. - Experience in presenting technical solutions to customers. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
