E&D Recruiters is currently seeking a Project Sales Engineer for a prominent Bulk Handling equipment company based in Pinetown.

The role involves developing sales leads, qualifying prospects, and conducting both face-to-face and online sales calls. The successful candidate will perform site surveys, develop sales solutions, and propose consultative approaches tailored to meet specific customer requirements. Maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential clients is also essential.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Recognized Engineering or Commercial qualification - At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role - Expertise in Bulk Handling Equipment and/or Systems is advantageous - Strong technical background and the ability to sell technical solutions - Excellent organizational and planning skills - Proven ability to build long-lasting customer relationships - Analytical, problem-solving, and resilient - Independent and self-reliant with strong interpersonal skills - Assertive and capable of making decisions - Dedicated, focused, and able to multitask - Proficient communicator, both verbally and in writing - Sound ability to formulate costings and work out profit margins - Ability to understand GA drawings and P&ID’s - Competence in understanding and navigating project tenders - Sound knowledge of a manufacturing business - Ability to present technical solutions to customers - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: - Developing the customer database and maximizing customer potential - Managing and interpreting customer project requirements to develop long-term relationships - Selling products and/or services that best meet customer needs in terms of project scope, quality, price, and delivery deadlines - Assisting in negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both customer and company needs - Hosting technical presentations and demonstrating how the company’s products and processes meet customer needs - Liaising with sales team members and technical colleagues - Assisting in the design of custom-made products and systems - Preparing costing models and mini procurement sheets - Preparing PFDs and P&IDs of projects - Providing pre-sales technical assistance - Coordinating projects with project engineers - Preparing handover files and arranging handover to the project team - Working on after-sales support services and providing technical backup as required - Arranging and conducting product training with the site technical support team - Preparing reports and maintaining customer records - Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows and conferences - Meeting monthly and annual sales targets - Providing training as needed
