Our client is a premier high-tech contract manufacturer located in Eindhoven, Netherlands, specializing in designing and producing sophisticated mechatronic systems and modules for the semiconductor, medical, and analytical instrumentation sectors. With state-of-the-art precision engineering operations spanning Europe and Asia, they supply some of the world’s most advanced original equipment manufacturers. We are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join their cleanroom operations on a permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct and qualify complex, high-tech mechatronic systems and modules in accordance with established test protocols within a cleanroom setting. - Perform connection, calibration, adjustment, and endurance testing of equipment prior to customer delivery. - Carry out visual inspections to confirm the quality of previous assembly and integration steps. - Analyze test results, identify deviations, and prepare and implement corrective actions. - Take ownership of final product quality, serving as the last checkpoint before machines are shipped to customers. - Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues from earlier production stages and participating in structural enhancement initiatives. - Work in a 2-shift rotation or day shift pattern. - Maintain precise test documentation and reporting. - Approximately 80% of your time will focus on testing modules, with 20% dedicated to hands-on tinkering and adjustments.
Experience & Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Meticulous, detail-oriented approach with a strict adherence to protocols. - Experience with calibration, testing, or quality assurance in a manufacturing or high-tech environment is advantageous. - Familiarity with PC-based tools and test software. - A proactive, service-oriented mindset with effective team collaboration skills. - Commitment to continuous learning, including the willingness to undertake further training and certification. - Fluent in English and Afrikaans (both written and spoken). - Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands (relocation support provided).
