Position Overview

This role involves developing sales leads, qualifying prospects, and conducting face-to-face and online sales calls. You will perform site surveys, prepare estimates, and propose consultative sales solutions tailored to specific customer needs. Close client engagement with both current and potential new clients is crucial.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A recognized qualification in Engineering or Commercial fields - At least 3 years of experience in a similar position - Expertise in Bulk Handling Equipment and/or Systems is a plus - Strong technical background and ability to convey it to customers - Excellent organizational and planning skills - Capability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships - Analytical, problem-solving, and resilient - Independent and self-reliant, with strong interpersonal skills - Assertive and capable of making decisions - Dedicated, focused, and able to multitask - Proficient in verbal and written communication - Skilled in formulating costings and determining profit margins - Understanding of GA drawings and P&ID’s - Knowledge in managing project tenders - Sound understanding of manufacturing business operations - Ability to present technical solutions to customers - Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Developing and maximizing the potential of a customer database for those who may benefit from our products or services - Managing and interpreting long-term customer project requirements - Selling products and/or services that meet customer needs in terms of project scope, quality, price, and delivery deadlines - Assisting in negotiating tender and contract terms to satisfy both customer and company needs - Hosting technical presentations and demonstrating how our products and processes meet customer needs - Liaising with sales team and technical colleagues - Assisting in designing custom-made products and systems - Preparing costing models and mini procurement sheets - Creating PFDs and P&IDs for projects - Preparing accurate, detailed project quotes - Providing pre-sales technical assistance - Coordinating projects with project engineers - Preparing handover files and arranging handovers to the project team - Working on after-sales support services and providing technical backup as needed - Arranging and conducting product training with the site technical support team - Preparing reports and maintaining customer records - Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows and conferences - Meeting monthly and annual sales targets - Providing training when required
