Your Purpose... Managing the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities through preventative actions. Overseeing action plans/projects to ensure they meet the required standards. Managing maintenance plans and suppliers effectively to stay within budget. Leading the maintenance team to achieve the desired outcomes.
Your Duties and Responsibilities...
A: MANAGEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE A1 Maintenance and Repair of Plant Follow the preventative schedule for HVAC systems. Report faults and action plans to CGM/Ops and Regional MM. Utilize the maintenance log in system on the intranet for faults. Comply with downtime as stipulated on the intranet. Be hands-on and repair faults where feasible. A2 Maintenance and Repair of Premises Coordinate with landlords/contractors for issues and repairs. Engage directly in repairing and maintaining premises in accordance with brand standards. A3 Maintenance and Repair of Gym Equipment Complete and send downtime reports to relevant contractors via fax/email. Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance schedules as per contractor stipulations. Maintain a history of equipment maintenance and schedules. Repair and maintain gym equipment according to brand standards. A4 Daily Maintenance Task Inspection Perform visual inspections via walkabout. Check the job book, MOD checklists, and fitness checklists. Inspect the pool and enter results in the pool log. Follow up on all maintenance-related issues on the Hey Manager cards. Schedule tasks from the preventative maintenance schedule. Liaise with CGM/Ops Manager on operational impacts in the club. A5 Pool Maintenance Ensure the pool is checked and key readings recorded according to operating standards. Conduct inspections of weirs. Ensure proper dosing and backwashing within pressure parameters. Maintain and repair the pool to brand standards. Display temperatures and liaise with Ops/CGM and RMM as needed. Ensure dosing systems do not run dry. A6 Health & Safety Management in the Club Manage your department to comply with health & safety requirements. Familiarize yourself with the OSH Act.
B: MANAGEMENT OF ACTION PLANS/PROJECTS TO THE REQUIRED STANDARD B1 Assistance in Maintaining Brand Standards Conduct regular checks on brand standards. Assist in developing the RAP. Support GM/Ops in managing the RAP to completion. B2 Project Management to Completion Ensure compliance with job specifications. Leave work areas in the condition found. Manage contractors to adhere to health and safety standards. Liaise with relevant parties. Sign off on contractorsā job cards if satisfactory and quality checked. Follow up on snag lists. Refer snags/issues to the Regional Maintenance Manager.
C: MANAGEMENT OF MAINTENANCE PLANS & SUPPLIERS WITHIN BUDGET C1 Budget-Conscious Maintenance of the Club Coordinate with CGM on budget constraints/availability. Ensure all repairs, costs, and quotes are within budget. C2 Stock Level Management Ensure sufficient stock availability at all times. Follow the e-procurement system with CGM/Ops using preferred suppliers and authorization systems. Check the quality and delivery of orders. Maintain stock control systems.
D: MANAGEMENT OF THE MAINTENANCE TEAM FOR DESIRED RESULTS D1 Team Task Management Prioritize and set timelines for team tasks. Adhere to quality control standards. Follow up and verify completed tasks. Establish understanding and correct tool application for tasks. Distribute tasks equitably within the team, including personal tasks. D2 Staffing Management Ensure staff are adequately trained for functional/operational needs. Communicate company initiatives/launches. Manage shift rosters/leave cycles. Induct staff on operational needs. Have a succession plan in place.
E: MISCELLANEOUS Be available for call outs and telephonic assistance. Assist and comply with any lawful and reasonable requests from the manager.
