Minimum requirementsThe Mechanical Draughtsperson / Design Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering drawings, 3D models, piping layouts, manufacturing drawings, and project documentation for industrial combustion, thermal processing, piping, and mechanical engineering projects. The incumbent will support the engineering and project teams by ensuring accurate design documentation, effective document control, and adherence to company standards and safety requirements. Produce detailed mechanical engineering drawings and layouts. Generate manufacturing and fabrication drawings. Create and maintain 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor. Develop piping layouts, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and plant models using AutoCAD Plant 3D. Revise and update drawings in accordance with engineering change requests. Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and project requirements. Assist engineers and project managers with design deliverables. Monitor drawing schedules and project documentation requirements. Maintain drawing registers and document control systems. Manage revisions, approvals, transmittals, and document distribution. Maintain compliance with company quality management procedures. Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
QualificationsRelevant Draughting, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or CAD qualification. Autodesk certifications will be advantageous.
ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years' experience in a mechanical draughting and design environment. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, process plant, piping, combustion, thermal processing, or related industries will be advantageous. Experience with project documentation and document control systems. Exposure to project management processes and project execution environments.
