We are seeking a highly skilled and charming Wine Lounge Hostess to join our esteemed team at a picturesque estate near Stellenbosch. As the primary point of contact for our discerning guests, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for

• Providing a warm and welcoming greeting to guests as they arrive at the venue - Escorting guests to their assigned dining or bar areas with a smile and a sense of style - Efficiently managing reservations and coordinating with our wait staff to ensure seamless seating arrangements - Presenting menus and introducing guests to their serving staff with finesse - Bidding farewell to guests and ensuring they depart with a lasting impression - Collaborating with our wait staff to identify available seating options and provide expert recommendations - Maintaining a tidy and well-organized hostess desk at all times - Catering to guests with special needs, such as families with children or elderly patrons - Responding to incoming calls and addressing guests' queries with poise and professionalism - Offering support to our wait staff as needed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

We are looking for a candidate who possesses

• A Grade 12 certificate, with a hospitality qualification being a significant advantage - 1-2 years of previous experience as a hostess in a similar environment - A deep understanding of restaurant etiquette and protocols - Familiarity with health and safety regulations, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe environment - Proven experience in managing reservations and coordinating with wait staff - Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area - Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, public holidays, and weekends - Good physical health and mobility to walk and stand throughout a shift - Comfortable interacting with high-profile clientele and handling pressure situations with ease - A well-presented and professional demeanor - Flexibility, accountability, and an enthusiastic personality
