We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wine Lounge Attendant to join our team at a prestigious Estate located near Stellenbosch. This fixed-term contract position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and esteemed establishment, providing exceptional service to discerning guests.

Responsibilities

As a Wine Lounge Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the Wine Lounge and kitchen areas. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and front-of-house environment, ensuring that all areas are immaculate for guests' arrival. - Efficiently clearing tables of glasses, plates, and other items, and ensuring that all necessary items are removed in a timely manner. - Collaborating with the Wine Lounge cook to prepare platters, polish glasses, and wash dishes, contributing to a seamless dining experience. - Collecting water bottles and ensuring that bins are emptied before and after service to maintain a hygienic environment. - Monitoring and replenishing fridge stock in the kitchen to prevent shortages and maintain efficiency. - Setting up tables outside in the mornings to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. - Maintaining the spittoons and other high-touch areas to ensure an exceptional guest experience. - Demonstrating a problem-solving attitude and a get it done approach to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. - Providing exceptional customer service to guarantee that guests have a memorable experience and return to the estate. - Presenting displays in a fresh, clean, and visually appealing manner to showcase the estate's products and offerings. - Possessing in-depth knowledge of the estate's products and experience to provide informed recommendations and exceptional service.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Grade 12 certificate as a minimum educational requirement. - Previous working experience of 1-2 years is preferred, but not essential. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests and colleagues. - A strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences. - Comfortable dealing with high-profile clientele and maintaining a professional demeanor. - A well-presented appearance, reflecting the estate's high standards. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. - An enthusiastic personality, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. - Reliable transportation or the ability to arrange for transportation to and from work.
