Description: The Multi Skilled Supervisor role at the V&A Waterfront involves comprehensive oversight of cinema operations and the cinema team, focusing on sustaining operational standards, enhancing guest experience, and achieving strategic objectives. The incumbent will ensure peak operational efficiency through effective management of stock, banking processes, and staff schedules, while also maintaining visible presence on the cinema floor to address guest concerns and operational issues.
Responsibilities include: - Implementing efficient stock control methods and managing float and cashier variances - Overseeing end-to-end banking processes and controlling vouchers and complimentaries - Ensuring timely opening and closing of the cinema and adequate stock availability - Adhering to shift preparation protocols and managing staff scheduling - Overseeing support departments like cleaning services and handling shift briefings - Interacting with guests to address their requests and complaints - Managing refunds, readmissions, and complimentaries - Reporting and resolving issues and communicating business changes to staff - Implementing cinema objectives, standards, and procedures - Monitoring product performance and operational efficiencies - Managing technical, ICT, and projection issues - Complying with legislative and health and safety requirements
Qualifications: - Matric is essential - Minimum NQF Level 5 Qualification is advantageous - Experience and knowledge of MS Office and at least 12 months working experience as an MSE/VISTA/MYCC
Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication - Strong administrative and organizational skills - Outstanding management abilities - Good interpersonal and guest service skills
