BUILDING FOREMAN – RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTSDurbanville, Cape Town

A leading property developer is looking for an experienced Building Foreman to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and supervision of residential building developments in the Durbanville area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who can lead teams, maintain high construction standards and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and according to programme.

Manage and supervise daily construction activities on residential developmentsCoordinate subcontractors, labour and site resourcesEnsure construction work is completed according to drawings, specifications and quality standardsMonitor project progress and maintain construction programmesConduct daily site inspections and ensure quality workmanshipManage materials, plant and equipment on siteCoordinate with Site Agents, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractorsEnsure compliance with health and safety requirementsIdentify and resolve construction-related issues promptlyMaintain accurate site records, reports and documentationDrive productivity and maintain project deadlinesREQUIREMENTS 5+ years’ experience as a Building ForemanStrong residential construction experience essentialProven experience managing residential developments or multiple housing unitsGood knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site managementAbility to read and interpret building drawingsStrong subcontractor and labour management skillsExcellent organisational and communication abilitiesA hands-on approach with strong attention to detailRelevant construction qualifications will be advantageousCape Town / Northern Suburbs experience preferredTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for a strong site-based leader who takes ownership of his site, understands residential construction from groundworks through to completion, and can effectively coordinate people, materials and subcontractors to keep the project moving.
