Our client is in search of a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with a robust background in Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP), Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I), and large industrial projects. This position is ideal for a financially savvy professional with experience in the mining, oil and gas, or petrochemical industries.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee project budgets, cost management, and financial reporting in engineering and industrial settings. - Draft and scrutinize estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents. - Track project expenses, cash flow, and cost projections. - Evaluate variations, claims, and changes to contracts. - Assess subcontractor and supplier bids. - Facilitate procurement, tender evaluation, and commercial negotiations. - Monitor project advancement and compare costs to established budgets. - Compile payment assessments, cost reports, and final accounts. - Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and commercial teams. - Ensure precise cost control and adherence to contract terms throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements: - Bachelorās degree in Quantity Surveying. - Minimum of 5 yearsā experience in relevant fields. - Experience in mining, SMP, EC&I, or heavy industrial sectors. - Exposure to oil and gas or petrochemical environments. - Proficient in construction and engineering project cost management. - Skilled in estimates, variations, claims, procurement, and financial reporting. - Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
