The leading mining firm specializing in gold and silver production seeks a Business Analyst with expertise in AI Automation to join their team in Germiston. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Intelligent Automation solutions across the organization.

Role Overview: The Business Analyst – AI Automation will be accountable for the successful implementation and governance of AI and Intelligent Automation technologies. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for AI-driven enhancements, redesign existing business processes, and introduce innovative technology-driven solutions aimed at elevating efficiency, decision-making, productivity, and overall business performance.

AI and Intelligent Automation Responsibilities: Maintain and manage the enterprise AI roadmap and implementation pipeline. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and intelligent automation for process optimization and efficiency improvement. Develop and implement AI-enabled business solutions to bolster decision-making and productivity. Assess and redesign business processes to uncover automation and optimization opportunities. Lead workflow and automation solutions from inception to implementation and adoption. Monitor and report on productivity improvements, process efficiencies, risk reduction, and cost savings.

AI Solutions Development: Design and develop solutions utilizing approved low-code technologies. Configure AI agents, automated workflows, forms, approvals, and knowledge repositories. Utilize Microsoft technologies such as: Microsoft Copilot Studio Power Automate Power Apps SharePoint Dataverse Microsoft 365 Copilot Ensure all solutions adhere to organizational standards and governance protocols.

AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance: Perform AI risk and impact evaluations for proposed and deployed solutions. Guarantee AI and automation solutions meet cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory, and governance standards. Establish controls to manage risks concerning: Confidentiality Data protection Accuracy Bias Accountability Responsible AI usage Promote responsible and ethical AI practices throughout the organization.

Stakeholder and Solution Delivery: Work closely with business stakeholders to grasp business requirements and identify technology-based solutions. Translate business needs into tangible AI, automation, and digital solutions. Support change management, testing, monitoring, and operational support activities. Collaborate with IT and business teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.

Requirements: A Matric certificate or equivalent (Grade 12). A Diploma or degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, product management, digital transformation, process automation, or enterprise applications. Demonstrated experience in delivering workflow or automation solutions from concept to implementation. Familiarity with IT environments is a plus. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Email/Outlook. Experience with SAP is advantageous.
