Job Summary The Compliance Administrator will assist the Group Compliance function by coordinating compliance activities, monitoring regulatory changes, managing compliance records, and supporting assessments. This role is crucial in promoting regulatory compliance, facilitating awareness programs, and ensuring accurate reporting and record maintenance within the TWK Group.
Responsibilities and Duties - Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, evaluate their impact, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. - Maintain a central register of regulatory developments, assign owners, and track implementation of required changes. - Develop and maintain regulatory frameworks for each division, encompassing legislation, regulations, licenses, permits, codes, standards, and internal requirements. - Collaborate with divisional stakeholders to identify compliance obligations and maintain compliance evidence. - Assist in creating and maintaining compliance risk management plans, monitoring schedules, checklists, and assessment tools. - Conduct or coordinate risk-based compliance assessments and control testing across divisions. - Document compliance findings, track corrective actions, and monitor progress to closure. - Compile monthly and quarterly compliance dashboards and management information. - Develop and coordinate compliance awareness initiatives, training activities, and related record-keeping. - Assist with the review and maintenance of policies, procedures, and other compliance documentation. - Manage compliance calendars and monitor regulatory submissions, renewals, and key deadlines. - Support audits, inspections, and regulatory information requests by providing documentation and information. - Identify and escalate compliance risks, control weaknesses, and overdue actions to appropriate stakeholders. - Provide administrative and research support to the Group Compliance function and respond to routine compliance queries. - Establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance.
Qualifications and Skills - Matric / Grade 12 - Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field - Minimum 3-5 years' experience in compliance, risk, governance, legal, or regulatory administration - Working knowledge of South African legislation relevant to corporate, operational, and financial services environments (FICA, POPIA, and related legislation) - Relevant experience in regulatory research, legislative monitoring, and communicating regulatory developments - Experience in maintaining regulatory frameworks, compliance registers, monitoring plans, risk assessments, and action trackers - Experience in preparing compliance reports, dashboards, newsletters, presentations, or awareness material - Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance systems or document-management tools (advantageous) - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) - Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear obligations, controls, guidance, and practical actions for different business divisions - Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in clear, business-friendly language - Excellent administrative, organizational, and record-keeping abilities - High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information - Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and collaborate effectively across multiple divisions - Valid Driver's License (Code 08) - Willingness to travel
