**Position Overview**
Western Cape Recruitment is seeking an adept Engineering Manager for a leading FMCG Company based in Cape Town.
**Role Description**
The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee the Engineering Department, ensuring optimal management and smooth operation of the plant's equipment, machinery, and utilities. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining minimal downtime and ensuring all procedures and processes are strictly adhered to, thereby meeting all set targets.
**Responsibilities:**
- Efficiently and effectively manage the Engineering department. - Ensure minimum downtime on all plant equipment, machinery, and utilities. - Oversee the department’s annual budget. - Initiate continuous improvements on equipment efficiency and cost-saving projects. - Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure asset care. - Drive overall operational excellence within the department.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum degree in an Engineering field. - Five years of relevant Engineering experience, with at least two years in a managerial capacity. - Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).
