Managed People Solutions is currently seeking a seasoned Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will be stationed at multiple retail locations across the Southern Suburbs in the Western Cape, tasked with overseeing product merchandising and ensuring that stores adhere to our company's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and greet customers, including store managers and shoppers. - Assess and determine stock levels for merchandising based on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). - Prepare stock requirements and ensure shelves are adequately replenished. - Merchandise products in line with the established SOP. - Verify product quality, stock rotation, and the accuracy of price tags. - Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and organization in both shelves and back-up areas like storerooms. - Carry out merchandising activities as per the cycle brief. - Foster positive relationships with customers and escalate any issues to management when necessary. - Provide feedback on customer complaints, inquiries, and requests. - Stay updated on product knowledge and promotions according to the cycle brief. - Accurately document all merchandising activities. - Conduct store visits adhering to the required call cycle. - Advise managers on potential additional displays and merchandising space opportunities. - Inform managers about out-of-stock products. - Record relevant metrics and competitor activities. - Submit required documents, including Proof of Delivery (POD), new account opening documents, and trading term agreements, to the relevant departments on time. - Ensure proper care of company assets, including the company vehicle, laptop, and handheld devices.
Requirements
- Matriculation (Grade 12) certification. - Minimum of 12 monthsā experience in merchandising within an FMCG environment. - Basic understanding of spirits. - Exceptional communication skills. - A vibrant and energetic personality. - A valid driverās license. - Willingness to work at various retail stores in the Southern Suburbs.
