Control quality procedures, inspection plans (ITPs), and quality documentation. Ensure document control, record integrity, and audit readiness. Monitor and enforce corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Quality Control & Inspection
Oversee inspection activities across incoming, in-process, and final stages. Verify compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Review inspection results and ensure proper release or rejection of products. Ensure calibration control of measuring and testing equipment. Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow-up actions
Welding Quality Verification (Non-Technical Oversight).
Verify compliance of welding activities with approved documentation and standards. Ensure availability and correct application of WPS, PQR, and WPQ (controlled by Welding Engineer). Monitor welding quality performance trends (defects, repairs, rejection rates). Ensure weld traceability, inspection coverage, and NDT completion. Coordinate with Welding Engineer and third-party inspectors during audits
Documentation & Traceability Control
Ensure full traceability of materials, welds, and manufactured components. Review material certificates (MTCs) for compliance. Ensure completeness of Manufacturing Data Books / Quality Dossiers. Maintain quality records required for ASME and customer handover
Audit & Compliance Management
Plan and conduct internal quality audits. Support external audits (customer, certification bodies, ASME Authorized Inspection). Track audit findings and ensure timely closure. Ensure compliance with ISO 3834 and ASME.
Supplier & Customer Quality
Monitor supplier quality performance and incoming inspection results. Manage supplier NCRs and corrective actions. Support customer complaints investigation and resolution. Act as quality interface for customer inspections and audits.
Continuous Improvement
Analyse quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Drive reduction of scrap, rework, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). Support Lean initiatives within production processes. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities.
