Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is recruiting a skilled Clinic Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Hermanus. The role is designed to oversee and operate a successful Primary Health Care Clinic integrated within a pharmacy, operating within the scope of a registered nursing practitioner.
Grade 12 ā Matric Tertiary qualification in General Nursing Degree/Diploma in Midwifery Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) BHF registration for the nursing practitioner 2-3 yearsā experience in Primary Health Care Clinic Sister Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Primary Health Care Sister Experience with Patient Record System, CKS & Allegra
Executing Clinic Sister duties in accordance with industry standards and best practices Managing the clinicās patient flow rate and setting goals to improve patient care Ensuring all clinic services are available and up-to-date Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring timely follow-ups Keeping the clinic open and operational as per scheduled hours Processing claims accurately and promptly Ensuring clinic stock and equipment are in good working condition Managing sufficient stock levels in the clinic Building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, Store and Dispensary Manager, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, community leaders, and other healthcare professionals
In-depth knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health nursing, family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain management, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre- and post-counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, wound care Commitment to quarterly CPD training and in-service training with Dis-Chem Strong command of English (both written and oral) Understanding of the financial aspects of meeting monthly targets Strong analytical skills in reviewing monthly clinic statistics and commission High emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, trustworthiness, and honesty Ability to manage both team and self-responsibilities, and be self-directed and self-motivated Effective time management
Bilingual capabilities Knowledge of business objectives Completion of Baby Immunisation Course (DoH/Sanofi Pasteur), Family planning (DoH), Primary Health Care Course, Breastfeeding course, and Disease management course
