Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Noordhoek. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and operate a successful Primary Health Care Clinic located within a pharmacy, operating within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.
Grade 12 ā Matric Tertiary qualification in General Nursing Degree/Diploma in Midwifery Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) Nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration 2-3 yearsā experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister Computer skills ā Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Minimum 5 years practicing as a Primary Health Care Sister Patient Record System & CKS & Allegra
Perform Clinic Sister duties in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Manage clinic throughput and establish clinic objectives to enhance patient care. Maintain accurate records of patient details and ensure timely communication follow-ups. Ensure the Clinic operates according to the stated operational hours. Process claims accurately and promptly as per industry guidelines. Ensure that all clinic stock and equipment are in working order. Maintain sufficient stock levels in the Clinic. Build and sustain healthy relationships with stakeholders, including patients, Store and Dispensary Manager, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, community key players, and other healthcare professionals.
Knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health nursing, family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain management, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre- and post-counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, and wound care. Quarterly CPD training; in-service training with Dis-Chem. Strong command of English (written and oral). Understanding of the financial implications of meeting or not meeting set monthly targets. Strong analytical skills relating to monthly clinic statistics and commission. Emotional intelligence; entrepreneurial flair; trustworthy and honest. Ability to manage both team and self; be self-direct and self-motivated. Effective time management.
Bilingual. Knowledge and understanding of the business objectives. Baby Immunisation Course (DoH/ Sanofi Pasteur); Family planning (DoH); Primary Health Care Course; Breastfeeding course; Disease management course.
Willing and able to work retail hours. Physically fit and healthy to manage a Primary Health Care Clinic. Valid driverās license and own reliable transport. South African citizen. Clear credit and criminal records.
