**JOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES:** - PSIRA registered (Grade C) - Proven ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail

**QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:** - Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification - Minimum 1 year of experience as a Wireman - Practical knowledge in electrical/electronic work is advantageous

**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:** To assist the Installations Technician with the installation of alarm cabling, drilling, and connecting detectors to the panel. Additionally, to power-up and conduct walk-through tests for the alarm system. An Assistant Technician at this level should be adequately qualified and experienced (as per the company's standards) to independently install cabling for alarm systems, intercoms, CCTV, and access control systems, perform drilling tasks, connect detectors and alarm control panels, and perform power-up and walk-through tests for the alarm system without the need for a technician's presence.

**DUTIES:** - Assist the technician in installing alarm and security equipment - Help in removing old equipment from client premises - Run new cables, apply glue, drill holes, and mount detectors, panels, contacts, lights, etc. - Inform the technician about any equipment or tool limitations - Provide the technician with details on cabling required for an installation - Assist in user functions and perform a handover - Clean vehicles and premises after installation
