QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Matric or equivalent Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an alarm technician Extensive experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault finding

JOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES: Valid driver’s licence required Must be PSIRA registered (Grade C) Sound knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox, and Telecom systems Knowledge of CCTV, intercom systems, and access control is advantageous Ability to work on standby as and when required

INTERNAL CLIENTS: Installations Servicing Investigations Operations Technical Trainer

EXTERNAL CLIENTS: FADT customers Suppliers

Duties (Technical): Carry out alarm installations as per quotation Program alarm panels/systems according to specifications Provide on-site quotes to clients for additional equipment when necessary Plan cable runs in collaboration with the wireman Obtain customer codes daily before attending calls and when on standby Complete handovers, invoices, and job cards after every installation Provide timely feedback to Manager/Supervisor and Call Centre upon completion of a call

Performance Standards (Technical): Ensure that installations match the Sales Rep’s quotation Program alarms according to FADT standards Ensure accurate quoting Adhere to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) requirements at all times Obtain correct customer details before attending calls Complete handovers, invoices, and job cards accurately and within standards Provide feedback promptly to relevant parties

Duties (General): Download sites every morning Maintain stock levels and assist storeman with stock take Keep the company vehicle clean Submit petrol slips

Performance Standards (General): Ensure stock levels are always up to date and report any discrepancies Maintain a clean company vehicle at all times Submit petrol slips on a weekly basis
