About the Role

Fidelity Services Group is looking for a meticulous Security Officer to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. The role involves safeguarding our property and staff through vigilant monitoring, access control, and emergency response, all while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols and surveillance of assigned areas to prevent and identify security breaches. - Manage entry to premises by inspecting visitors and distributing identification badges. - Respond swiftly to alarms and incidents, carrying out investigations and documenting findings. - Keep comprehensive records of daily activities and any unusual events. - Cooperate with law enforcement authorities as needed during emergencies. - Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures. - Offer guidance and information to employees and visitors when required. - Perform regular checks on security equipment and report any necessary repairs.

Requirements

• A valid Grade C PSIRA certificate. - Demonstrable experience in a security role or comparable position. - Exceptional observational skills and the capacity to react effectively in crisis situations. - Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear information dissemination. - Familiarity with security systems and surveillance devices. - Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in security or related fields (e.g., PSIRA registration). - Expertise in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques. - First aid and CPR certification. - Knowledge of emergency response and safety protocols.
