Requirements

• Trade test passed for petrol and diesel mechanics - 5-8 years of mechanical experience in both petrol and diesel vehicles - Proficiency in workshop consumables and vehicle parts - Comprehensive understanding of workshop operations - Crucial fault diagnostic experience - Auto electrical experience required - Essential: Driver’s license and personal reliable transport - Clear criminal record - Experience in servicing vehicles - Expertise in replacing clutches - Ability to perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs - Knowledge of various vehicle makes and models is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing all company vehicles - Occasional standby duties/after-hours - Managing services and repairs on all company vehicles out of warranty - Efficiently and promptly handling all repairs/maintenance in collaboration with the Fleet Manager - Advising the Fleet Manager on any difficulties or problems preventing repairs/maintenance - Reporting all major repairs to the Fleet Manager for approval - Conducting test drives on vehicles after repairs/maintenance - Providing standby repairs/maintenance after hours and over weekends (designated mechanics only) or as per arrangement
